Traditional cameras often receive "Mark" upgrades. Now virtual ones do, too. The follow-up to the 2016 original, Halide Mark II is a near-complete refresh of the popular iPhone camera app. Its interface has been redesigned for better one-hand use, with an overhauled manual mode, new focus bar, and dynamic labels so there's never a doubt over a control's function. Far from a skin-deep upgrade, however, it introduces a ton of behind-the-screen upgrades, including a Coverage feature that takes a Smart HDR/Deep Fusion photo alongside a RAW, instant, 17-step RAW processing, and XDR (Extended Dynamic Range) 14-bit RAW sampling for the new waveform and color exposure warnings.
