Hardin's Creek Kentucky Series Bourbons
Where a bourbon is aged has a profound influence on its flavor. To demonstrate this, eighth-generation master distiller Freddie Noe has selected a trio of Hardin's Creek bourbons, dubbed The Kentucky Series. Each one was distilled from the same mashbill at the same time 17 years ago, but aged at a different Jim Beam campus, in Clermont, Frankfort, and Boston. As a result, each one has a distinct profile, with the former offering flavors of caramelized oak and brown spice, with a smooth, sweet finish. The Clermont expression was released June 1st in limited quantities, with Frankfurt to follow on August 1st, and Boston wrapping up the release on September 1st.
