Named after the year of a distillery fire when mature whisky had to be re-barreled while the damage was repaired, Old Forester's 1910 Old Fine is a double-barreled, full-bodied expression. For 2022, the Louisville, KY-based distillery is taking it even farther with its Extra Extra Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky release. It's made by taking the standard 1910 expression and aging it in a second set of heavily-charred oak barrels for 24 months. The resulting spirit is a deep bronze color, with notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, maple syrup, and smoke, and is bottle at 93 proof. Available in limited quantities at the Old Forester Distillery and select Kentucky retailers.
