Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle

The world's largest motorcycle manufacturer just built its first full-size electric bike, and it immediately won two of the most prestigious design awards on the planet. The WN7's frameless chassis uses the 9.3kWh battery case as the structural frame, keeping the profile lean at 478 lbs. A liquid-cooled motor produces 67 hp and 73.8 lb-ft of torque, performance Honda compares to a 600cc engine in output and a 1,000cc engine in torque. A belt drive keeps it quiet, top speed is 80 mph, and CCS2 fast charging takes the battery from 20 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. A 5-inch TFT display handles smartphone connectivity and four ride modes. Range is 87 miles. Honda isn't bringing it to the US yet, citing limited charging infrastructure. Europe gets it first.
