Ikepod Watches

Founded by Oliver Ike and Marc Newson in 1994, Ikepod was one of the more interesting watch companies of the era. It filed for bankruptcy in 2003, but having found new owners — even if Newson has since left for Apple — it's being reborn with a new line of Ikepod Watches. Details on the new timepieces are scant, but we do know they'll sport thick, circular designs from Emmanuel Gueit that pay homage to Newson's past work, come in at least simple two-hand and chronograph models, and will be available via a crowdfunding campaign later this year.
