The Ceramic Flieger Chronograph was released by IWC in 1994. The timepiece was an outlier at the time that featured a black zirconium oxide ceramic case. The market wasn't ready for the unique chronograph, and it was discontinued quickly. Of course black ceramic has no problems selling today, and IWC is releasing this "Tribute to 3705" to honor the 90's timepiece. The new watch is a replica of the original with a 41mm Ceratanium case in all-black that is powered by an in-house 69380 calibre self-winding movement with a power reserve of 46 hours. The watch is limited to 1,000 examples and is finished with a black calfskin strap.
