A classic garnish, the cocktail cherry is a welcome addition to plenty of mixed drinks but seems to be best suited alongside rye whiskey or bourbon. Grown in Oregon, these cherries spend time maturing in Kentucky bourbon to give them a soft texture and a boozy bite. They're the perfect addition to an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan, and even work well when added to a hard seltzer during the summer — if you can resist eating them straight out of the jar.
