Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Enamel "Venice" Watches
Painted towards the end of his career, Claude Monet's "Venice Series" captures various iconic sights around the city at different times of day to showcase the changing light. Coinciding with the Homo Faber Biennial exhibition in Venice this September, Jaeger-LeCoultre is paying homage to The Floating City with three limited-edition Reverso Tribute Enamel watches sporting miniature reproductions of Monet's San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk, The Grand Canal, and The Doge's Palace on the casebacks. Painstakingly rendered in layers to recreate Monet's impasto technique, the enameling process alone takes up to 70 hours. On the flip side, the dials are decorated with hand-guilloché patterns and Dauphines hands with similarly elegant indexes. The watches are limited to 10 pieces each with white gold cases, black alligator leather straps, and manually wound movements.
