Jeep Wagoneer Roadtrip Concept
Based on a 1965 model, the Jeep Wagoneer Roadtrip Concept recalls old-school cross-country drives. Outside, its wheelbase has been extended and the original steel body updated for the added length, wider track, and new 17-inch steel wheels with 33-inch tires. Underneath, there's a boxed and reinforced frame, Dana 44 axles, a four-link suspension, and a modern 5.7L V8 powerplant mated to a four-speed automatic. Inside the original front and rear bench seats and surrounding trim have been covered in oxblood leather, which complements the wicker ceiling and Bottle Green architectural glass. It's finished with a cooler made from period-correct luggage and a toolbox crafted from the valve cover of its original 230 Tornado OHC-6 engine and will be on display at the 52nd annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.
