Jeff Koons' Rabbit
Plenty of artworks influence what comes after, but few completely redefine a genre like Rabbit by Jeff Koons. Standing roughly three feet tall, the shiny, stainless steel sculpture depicts an inflatable rabbit and conjures images both childish and adult, innocent and indecent, giving it an air of intrigue even as the sculpture itself remains static. It's one of just four created — an edition of three plus one artist's proof — arrives with a CoA signed by the artist, and has a very real chance of setting the record for most expensive work ever sold by a living artist.
