In 1971, taxi driver George Jones began stitching golf bags at home and selling them from his cab. The company he eventually started, Jones Sports Co., has now sold over a million bags. The Portland, Oregon brand is built around the single-strap carry bag and a patented stand system. Signature details include a round bottom, a twisted handle that holds a towel and a double zipper for reaching the pockets mid-carry.
