Jony Ive-Designed Ferrari Luce Interior & Interface
Ferrari's first all-electric model gets an interior designed around tactile controls instead of touchscreens. While the exterior is still under wraps, the inside of the Luce trades capacitive surfaces for machined aluminum switches and glass controls engineered by former Apple design chief Jony Ive. Anodized aluminum toggles handle drive modes and suspension settings. The gauge cluster stacks Samsung OLED displays with a physical needle sandwiched between for depth. Fusion5 glass has 13,000 laser-drilled holes in the shifter, enabling LED backlighting that flows from the E Ink key when docked. Four electric motors deliver over 1,000 horsepower to hit 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds, while a 122-kWh battery provides 330 miles of range. Aluminum and glass dominate the cabin, leather where hands and body rest, and an overhead launch control handle initiates the power.
