スウェーデンのEVスタートアップ、ケーク社初のモデルとなる「Kalkエレクトリックバイク」は、気品あるミニマルなデザインのオン/オフロード移動手段としてゼロから設計されたものだ。Kalkの部品はすべて専用に作られている。というのも、既存の部品では重すぎたり、このデザインに見合う耐久性に満たないからだ。Kalkの最高速度は時速80km、航続距離は80km。選べる3モードで快適な乗り心地を実現。初回製造は限定50台。2018年後半以降出荷予定だ。

MetMo's latest creation turns mechanical obsession into something you can feel in your hands. Built around a precision-machined gear system, the tool amplifies input torque by a staggering factor of 16,384—each gear doubling power as it transfers force through the system. CNC-machined for absolute tolerances, it's engineered not just for performance, but for fascination. Even the locking pin becomes part of the experience: remove it, and reassembly is only possible when every gear aligns perfectly, transforming a simple mechanism into a tactile puzzle. It's a celebration of gears, leverage, and mechanical purity—designed to reward patience, precision, and an appreciation for how things truly work.
