Jurassic Park The Gates Playset

30 years since its release, Jurassic Park remains a watershed moment in the history of film. Ground-breaking computer-generated effects combined with practical puppetry to bring dinosaurs to life on the big screen, and still hold up three decades later thanks to director Steven Speilberg's clever use of lighting and pacing. To mark Jurassic Park's 30 anniversary, Mattel is crowdfunding a massive playset called The Gates. The set features a 20-inch tall motorized replica of the main gates of Jurassic Park from the film, and an ultra-detailed Ford Explorer — no. 5, the one not destroyed by the T. Rex. At 6,000 backers, an appropriately-scaled figure of "Buck", the T. Rex from Jurassic World will be added, and at 8,000, a figure of Lex and a goat with a removable leg — perfect for displaying on the observation window of the Explorer.
