Karuizawa Acclaim Whiskey Collection
Founded in 1955, Karuizawa distillery was among the smallest in Japan, and was known for its use of sherry wood to mature its single malts. It ceased production in 2000 and shut down for good in 2011, making the remaining stock highly sought-after. The Karuizawa Acclaim Whiskey Collection presents a a 1999-2000 vintage Karuizawa Single Malt Whisky in stunning fashion, with custom bottle art and a Wajima Lacquerware cabinet featuring 24-carat gold leaf from Karuizawa-based artist David Stanley Hewett.
