Kurono Tokyo Diver

The crown has always been the Achilles' heel of the diving watch. Hajime Asaoka's answer is to eliminate it entirely. The Kurono Tokyo Diver's seats a 35mm automatic inner watch inside a dedicated 46mm outer diving case that takes it from refined daily wear to an instrument depth-engineered to 984 feet. The inner watch debuts Kurono's first-ever cushion-shaped case, running a MIYOTA 90S5 movement with skeletonized blue steel cathedral hands tuned for maximum luminous efficiency. The outer case's bezel is machined from Extra Super Duralumin and hard-anodized a deep red, with white-engraved indices built for underwater legibility and a unidirectional rotation mechanism to prevent accidental loosening. Both cases are 316L stainless steel, the inner watch swaps straps without tools, and the whole system has been verified through high-pressure trials with Japanese public research institutes. A limited release selects buyers via a lottery-style ballot, with certified divers given priority allocation.
