Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Track Car
Lamborghini has unveiled its latest high-performance GT, a track-only weapon that boasts the most powerful naturally-aspirated V12 in the company's history and some extremely exclusive ownership privileges. Without being specific, Lamborghini claims the Essenza SCV12 makes over 830 horsepower from the mid-mounted V12, mated to an X-trac sequential six-speed gearbox that doubles as a structural chassis element and drives the rear wheels only. An F1-type pushrod suspension is mounted to a new carbon fiber monocoque in the front, and directly to the gearbox in the rear, with 19 and 20-inch wheels wearing Pirelli slicks and Brembo brakes. The three-piece bodywork is designed for quick changes in the pits and foremost for aerodynamics — making over 2,600 pounds of downforce at 155 MPH. The 40 owners will have access to driving events at FIA tracks around the world, along with individual storage at Lamborghini's purpose-built hangar at their Sant'Agata Bolognese factory and 24-hour webcam access via an app.
