Lanzante TAG Championship Coupe
McLaren took the 1984 and 1985 F1 Constructor's and Driver's titles with the TAG-powered MP4/2 and MP4/2B. TAG, or Techniques d'Avant Garde, funded the Porsche-built 1.5-liter turbocharged V6, part of the F1's wild turbo era. That engine will power Lazante's TAG Championship, a 930-era 911 with the former F1-raced 1.5-liter V6 replacing the original flat-six. The 930 is stripped to the shell and fitted with reinforcements and a roll cage, shedding nearly 950 pounds in the process. 625 horsepower will be on tap at a redline of 10,250 RPM, with a top speed of 200 MPH. Lazante will build three TAG Championship cars featuring liveries inspired by the McLaren race cars of the era, with the first TAG Championship making its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
