Lazareth Yamaha R1 Street Motorcycle
Built, wrecked, and reborn — this Yamaha R1 custom by French builder Ludovic Lazareth is a veritable Lazarus. Lazareth originally built the bike for the sci-fi Vin Diesel film Babylon A.D., where it was subsequently wrecked for its starring role. But Lazareth decided that the R1 could be brought back and made even better. The front forks had been donated to another project, so Lazareth designed and fabricated a single-sided swingarm for the front and rear suspensions, holding Triumph rear rims and tires at both ends. The bodywork is carbon fiber and LEDs in the exhaust baffle form the taillight. With it's suspension and futuristic design, this is as custom as it gets.
