Leica's new Cine Compact 1 turns a backyard fence, a bedroom ceiling, or a hotel room wall into a 220-inch screen. The 360-degree rotation system projects from almost any angle without a fixed screen, with automatic zoom, autofocus, and keystone correction enabling alignment the moment you set it down. A Summicron zoom lens with aspherical elements feeds a 0.47" DMD chip driven by Triple RGB laser, producing 4K at 1,700 lumens with Dolby Vision. Built-in VIDAA pulls up Netflix, Disney+, and Prime directly, with Wi-Fi, AirPlay, and HDMI also on board. The aluminum Bauhaus-style housing includes a tripod thread for ceiling mounting, and it ships in a recyclable EPP case instead of standard packaging. Leica has been projecting images since 1926. The Cine Compact 1 is the first that doesn't need a screen to deliver a cinematic experience wherever you happen to be.
