Lightfoot Solar-Powered Electric Scooter
The Lightfoot finally brings practical solar power to a vehicle with this diminutive scooter. Riding on 10-inch wheels, the Lightfoot's unique shape is covered in solar panels that charge a 1.1kWh battery whenever the scooter is parked. The cushioned bench seat fits two people, there's front and rear suspension, and underneath the bodywork is enough storage for three grocery bags. Power comes from two 750w brushless DC motors, and on cloudy days, the Lightfoot features an onboard charger that can be used with a 110v outlet. Made for urban transportation, the Lightfoot can travel up to 37 miles on a full charge, with the solar panels contributing up to 18 miles of range per day. The Lightfoot will begin deliveries in January 2025, with orders available now.
