Over the years there have been many attempts to combine guitar with the low end of the bass, from pedals to synths to modern digital tricks. But the best solution yet has arrived, an updated version of the A Little Thunder pickup that started with a successful Kickstarter in 2014. The pickup is a standard humbucker size and can seamlessly create a -1 or -2 octave tone without altering the original signal. Forget the tracking problems and wonky sounds with even the best digital equipment — A Little Thunder recreates your notes as fast as you can play them, including slides and bends. The software allows for choosing any combination of the three lowest strings, including stereo output and a myriad of other features.
