Lotus 72D Coin-Operated Children's Ride
Emerson Fittipaldi clinched the Formula One Driver's Championship for Lotus in 1972, the first of two for Fittipaldi and the fifth for Lotus. While not quite the real thing, this coin-operated kid's ride faithfully recreates the winning Lotus 72D, down to the Ford-Cosworth DFV V8 engine. The ride was fiberglass bodywork and mechanicals were restored by the current owner and will give a lucky kid a one-minute ride, complete with movement and engine sounds, for just a quarter per go. This unique piece of motorsports history is up for auction on Bring A Trailer.
