Masters of the Universe x Virgil Abloh Action Figures
For those of a certain age, the Masters of the Universe series — aka He-Man — holds as much nostalgic value as GI-Joe, Transformers, and, apparently, Halloween-themed Happy Meal buckets. The late great Virgil Abloh apparently agreed and teamed up with Mattel on a limited-edition run of MOTU figures before his untimely death. He-Man, Skeletor, Battle Cat, and Skele-god are all represented in monochrome, with multiple points of articulation for tasteful posing, and arrive with multiple accessories, a comic book, and art print, all enclosed in clear monochromatic packaging, with decontextualized names for an added dose of modernity.
