When camping, space is at a premium — so the more an item can do, the better. The retro-styled Max Lantern is a 3-in-1 solution that combines its elements with surprising results. It has three ambient light modes, as well as an adjustable humidifier that's ideal in dry air. Combine the two and you get "flame mode", which combines lighting and mist to replicate the smoke of a real campfire. Powered by a built-in 9600mAh battery, it can run for up to 18 hours depending on usage, charges via USB-C, and can use the same port to charge other devices in a pinch. Fully funded on Kickstarter, shipments are expected to begin in April.
