Built around the second-generation DA2 Digital Audio Module, McIntosh's C2700 Tube Preamplifier mixes a pro-level DAC and a host of inputs with vacuum tube sound and performance. Digital inputs include 2 coaxial, 2 optical, 1 USB, and 1 MCT, as well as an HDMI Audio Return Channel port with support for Dolby and DTS. Outputs include 3 variable balanced and 3 variable unbalanced plus 1 fixed unbalanced connection, as well as a 0.25" headphone jack powered by a dedicated amp. The vacuum tubes can be seen through a glass panel on the top of the unit, while the front has McIntosh' classic black look with backlit analog output level meters.
