McLaren W1 Supercar

The "1" in the name means it's more than just another supercar. Following the F1 and the P1, the W1 is McLaren's most powerful street car, thanks to the new MHP-8 V8, a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 mated to an electric motor making a total of 1,257 horsepower. Weight is just over 3,000 pounds, giving the W1 the highest power-to-weight ratio in McLaren's history and enabling 0-60in 2.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 217 MPH. McLaren has taken its experience in Formula One and applied it to the W1's aerodynamics with the McLaren Active Long Tail, an active rear wing that can extend 11 inches rearward. The W1 sports the new Race Active Chassis Control III, an eight-speed transmission, and nearly limitless customization thanks to McLaren Special Operations. 399 W1s are slated for production, and all have already been sold.
