Mercedes Concept AMG GT XX
Given their push into electrification, it was only a matter of time before Mercedes‑AMG released a performance sedan. The Concept AMG GT XX is a glimpse into that future. Its drivetrain is built on three axial flux motors, delivering more than 1,340hp peak output, good for a top speed over 223 mph. The battery is similarly groundbreaking, with direct-cooled cylindrical cells that sustain performance and can gain roughly 250 miles of range in just five minutes. The body is based on the new AMG.EA architecture, using a mixture of aluminum, steel, and fiber composite materials to reduce weight while maintaining rigidity. It's wrapped in a sleek fastback body with a low-slung hood, vents to maximize airflow, and a subtle double-bubble roof, while inside, the cockpit is driver-focused with dual screens and a racing-inspired steering wheel.
