Meta has released the Quest Pro, its latest virtual reality headset that promises 50% more power and improved comfort. Powered by the new Snapdragon XR2 Plus Gen 1, the Quest Pro has 50% more sustained power and 30% better thermal management over the Quest 2. 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 10 high-res sensors inside and outside the headset enable high-precision face and eye tracking. The new Quest Touch Pro controllers come with the Snapdragon 662 chip and self-track through a set of embedded positional camera sensors with minimal lag to the headset. The Fresnel lenses are gone, replaced with thinner pancake optics that lighten up the device, while the LCD panels have local dimming and quantum dot tech for crisper visuals and better colors. The Quest Pro is available now.
