Mickey Mouse Concept Drawing for Good Housekeeping

In 1937, Walt Disney Productions released the animated short Mickey's Amateurs, in which Mickey Mouse hosts an amateur talent show. To support the film, a full-page ad appeared in Good Housekeeping, and this drawing was produced as a concept for the advertisement. Rendered in graphite and red pencil, it shows a roughly 4" tall Mickey holding a mallet and a microphone while banging a gong near the edge of a stage. The original artwork is accompanied by a print of the finished magazine page.
