Microduck Biped Robot

Pollen Robotics built Microduck around a training pipeline usually reserved for robotics labs: every movement starts as a policy trained in a physics simulator, then deploys straight onto the physical robot in one step. The whole stack that makes that possible, the SDK, the simulator, and the reinforcement learning code, is open source on GitHub under an Apache 2.0 license, so anyone can retrain existing behaviors, invent new ones, and publish them for other owners to download and run on their own duck. Out of the box, the roughly 10-inch, 1.76-pound biped already knows seven moves, walking, sitting and standing back up, a one-shot kick, and a beak-first grab-and-carry motion among them, run through 15 motors and a camera, LiDAR, and two IMUs for balance. It comes in four colorways, small enough to live on a desk, and just as happy learning a new trick as walking one it already knows.
