Everyone plays "air" instruments once in a while, whether they want to admit it or not. Mictic is out to turn these movements into actual sound. Their wrist-bound sensors translate arm movements into instrument sounds like electric guitar, drums, and cello, or soundscapes like EDM and HipHop, via a companion app. The Bluetooth connection allows the XR wearables to serve as a MIDI controller for other audio apps, and the platform will also offer motion-based games like kung fu and tennis. Mictic's wearable is expected to begin shipping in August 2021.
