Moment Electric 1966 Series I Jaguar E-Type
Moment wants classic cars out of the garage and onto the street — with guilt-free electric conversions. Moment's Series I Jaguar E-Type conversion is developed specifically for the chassis, with special attention to maintaining the car's weight balance and driving dynamics. The electric motor sits entirely within the transmission tunnel and a 60kWh battery pack further back in the chassis. The stock Jaguar rear end is driven by a carbon fiber driveshaft, with 300 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque on tap — remarkably close to the original inline-six 265 horsepower and either 240 or 283 lb-ft of torque, depending on 3.8 or 4.2-liter displacements. Moment claims a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds versus 6.4 with the stock running gear and a range of 175 miles. Inside, the classic gauges are remade to display relevant information. Moment can also reverse the conversion if desired. Commissions are currently open for new builds.
