MSCHF x INRI Air Max 97 Jesus Shoes
Satire. Religious. Blasphemous. There are a lot of ways to describe these customized Air Max 97s, but boring isn't one of them. From Brooklyn-based studio MSCHF, they have "INRI" — Iesus Nazaraeus Rex Iudaeorum, or "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews" — on the heel tab, and 60cc of colored, blessed Holy Water from the River Jordan in the soles. The 100% red wool insoles are scented with Frankincense, a steel crucifix hangs from the laces, and the top box carries an "MT. 14:25" stamp, a reference to the Book of Matthew verse in which Jesus walks on water. Sold out at MSCHF, they're now available on StockX.
