Muji Hotel Ginza

Located in the hear of the Ginza district in Tokyo, the Muji Hotel gives weary travelers a place to recharge in between shopping and sushi. The calming effect starts the moment you enter the lobby with a palette of wood, stone, and earth. Like their home goods, most materials are recycled including the 50-year-old pavers that were repurposed from the city's trolly ways. The 79 rooms range in size and layout while providing a minimalist retreat furnished with the brand's signature products. While the area is saturated with great restaurants, the property offers a few of its own in the form of seasonal home-style dishes, a global diner, and an in-house bakery featuring velvety custard cream buns. There's also the Muji global flagship store that occupies the building's first six floors, two galleries, a salon, and a library stocked with over 500 books. The hotel officially opens April 4, 2019.
