Neck Path House
Building on a tradition of structures that dates back to Philip Johnson's Glass House and engineered by Jeff Smilow, the mind behind One World Trade Center, the Neck Path House is an austere build of concrete, glass, and metal that invites in the surrounding East Hampton woodlands. The main floor is a giant, column-free expanse that includes the living, dining, and kitchen areas. Dual staircases lead to the upper level, with one leading to dual primary suites, and the other leading to the guest suites, each with an en suite washroom. Below sits the four-car garage — accessed via a private underground tunnel — as well as a multi-stall bathroom and spaces that could be converted into a gym, theater, or game room. Outside a stone patio frames the substantial 27' x 55' pool, complete with an inlaid hot tub.
