New Balance x Drakes Made in UK Allerdale Sneaker
Some New Balance models, such as the 608, are derided as "dad shoes". If so, then the Allerdale is a "grandpa shoe", supportive and comfortable, but with an added touch of elegance and class. So, for NB's debut collaboration with London-based menswear brand Drake's, the Allerdale was a perfect fit. Its mix of earth tones includes vegetable-tanned brown leather on the vamp and collar, darker brown pebbled leather at the tip and foxing, and dark green pigsuede overlays, with a lighter green Japanese ripstop nylon tongue. Underneath, FuelCell foam and an Ortholite insert provide bounce, support, and cushioning, while the two-tone rubber outsole provides dependable footing on city streets, grassy hills, and everywhere in between.
