Nike Vomero Premium Running Shoes
Conner Mantz holds the American marathon record, a 2:04:43 that broke Khalid Khannouchi's 23-year-old mark. Nike enlisted Conner to test five prototype rounds of the Vomero Premium, gathering feedback on cushioning, upper support, and fit before the shoe reached shelves. Built to replicate the reduced-impact feel of an anti-gravity treadmill, Nike gave the Vomero a 55mm stack height, the tallest of any road running shoe in the lineup, designed for slow recovery miles on pavement rather than race day or trail terrain. Full-length ZoomX foam wraps two Air Zoom units, one at the forefoot and one at the heel, the same units Nike uses in its Maxfly 2 and Victory 2 track spikes. An engineered mesh upper ensures breathability, and a Waffle outsole made of high-abrasion rubber delivers traction. Now you can log slow miles without adding wear to your legs, so recovery days stay recovery days.
