Nike x Fragment Concept Air Liquid Max
Hiroshi Fujiwara takes Nike's boldest new silhouette and strips it back to black. The Air Liquid Max is built around a point-loaded Air cushioning unit placed only where it's needed underfoot, with cored-out negative space giving the sole its distinct geometry, both inspired by the toe pads of the poison dart frog. The low-profile upper uses three-layer textured printing to add support and visual depth, a construction that mirrors the frog's warning-system coloring in the standard launch version. But Fujiwara reins in the drama with an all-black colorway that extends to the Fragment branding on the lateral upper and the label's signature lightning bolt on the tongue. A founding member of Nike's HTM design collective, he is the first Nike collaborator to put his mark on the new model.
