Noyes Brown House
Built in the 1950s in New Canaan, Connecticut, the Noyes Brown House elegantly blends old with the new. Joeb Moore & Partners added a simple metallic extension that mimics the proportions and layout of the original one-story building and added a glass wall to the entryway that provides views of the front courtyard from the stairways. The completed structure stays faithful to the spirit of the original and includes five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, a pool with pool house, and an outdoor dining area with fireplace. A fantastic example of mid-century design, updated for modern life.
