Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy Award Watch

NASA gave Omega its "Silver Snoopy Award" in 1970 for its contributions to the space program. 50 years on, this special Speedmaster notes the occasion. Its 42mm stainless steel case is inspired by the 4th generation model and has a silver dial with Ag925 engravings, blue PVD markers and hands, and a blue ceramic bezel. One of the three blue subdials has an embossed silver medallion of Snoopy wearing his spacesuit, mimicking the silver pin award for which the watch is named, while the caseback features Snoopy inside the Command and Service Module, mounted on a hand that takes him on a trip around the dark side of the moon while the chronograph seconds hand is in use as the Earth spins once per minute in the background, in sync with the small seconds hand. It's powered by a Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement and sits on a blue nylon fabric strap embossed with the trajectory of the Apollo 13 mission on the lining.
