Opal C1 Webcam
A shift to remote work has laid bare the shortcomings of built-in webcams, so much so that many workers have opted to use powerful mirrorless cameras as a pricey but far preferable stand-in. The Opal C1 provides a happy medium. It's built around a 7.8mm Sony sensor, an f/1.8 glass lens, and an array of beamforming microphones. Linked to a powerful neural processing chip and Intel-made VPU, it offers professional-looking video that performs well even in low-light, 4K video capture, and intelligent noise cancellation. Thanks to all that processing power, it offers a handful of effects that range from useful to fun, including a convincing, adjustable bokeh, logo overlay, an adjustable touch up feature to smooth out those early morning eyes, and even full manual control over focus, exposure contrast, and white balance. All the tech is packed into a sleek anodized aluminum housing that comes in white or black and works hand-in-hand with the company's dedicated Mac app.
