Pedro Ramalho P1 Yacht Concept
Conceived by architect Pedro Ramalho, the P1 Yacht Concept utilizes two green energy sources for a completely sustainable vessel. The boat's main deck is fitted with 645 square feet of photovoltaic solar panels. With the ability to generate up to 15 kW of zero-carbon electricity from the sun, the energy source is able to power the electric motor and charge the batteries. When additional juice is needed, an integrated sailing component takes over. Its retractable mast, keel, and rudder rise up from the deck and the sails unwind from a roller shutter to employ wind energy. To get the most out of the craft, both systems can be used together to get maximum speed, range, and performance.
