Ping PLD Anser Patent 55 Putter
It started in 1966 as a sketch on a record jacket. A patent for the idea was awarded to Karsten Solheim the following March. 55 years later, the Ping Anser (they dropped the "w" to help fit the name on the putter itself) is arguably the most iconic putter of all time, inspiring countless imitations and claiming over 500 Tour wins and 19 majors in the process. To celebrate this legacy, Ping is releasing the PLD Anser Patent 55. Machined from aluminum bronze, it has the same stamping as early models, including the US patent number and "Made in the USA" text. One of four Anser Patent models slated for release this year, it's limited to just 55 examples.
