Adding weight to a putter typically helps stability and increases the moment of inertia (MOI). It oftentimes means making the head larger, as well. Mizuno's 2022 line of M.Craft OMOI putters is heavier than prior models while retaining traditional proportions. They're forged from premium 1025 carbon steel and CNC milled for a consistent roll off the face, and have two interchangeable weights in the heel and toe for greater forgiveness. The OMOI 01 and OMOI 02 are both traditional blade designs with slant or plumber's necks, respectively, and weigh in at 370 grams each with the standard 8-gram weights installed, while the OMOI 03 is a full mallet shape and weighs in at 383 grams. All three models are available in nickel, blue, or black finishes and include pairs of 3g and 13g weights for further customization; a special Black Out edition with a black KBS Tour Black Ion-plated shaft, black Lamkin pistol grip, and blacked out headcover is also an option.
