TaylorMade Stealth Carbonwood Drivers

The company that invented the metalwood in 1979 is now out to kill it. 20 years in the making, TaylorMade's new Stealth line of drivers are what the company's calling "Carbonwoods", owing to their innovative faces. Incorporating the company's TwistFace technology, the faces of the drivers are made from 60 layers of carbon fiber, enabling them to deliver greater ball speeds than are possible with the titanium faces that have ruled the marketplace for the last 20 years. The carbon is covered by a layer of nanotextured polyurethane that adds durability and helps control spin in both dry and wet conditions. The clubs otherwise build off the company's proven driver technologies like the flexible Speed Pocket for added forgiveness and the asymmetric Inertia Generator that maximizes downswing aerodynamics. They're available in Stealth, Stealth Plus, and Stealth HD (High Draw) models; the adjustable Stealth Plus model can also be customized to match the player's preferences via the MyStealth program.
