The Nike 1971 Soccer Boot

Nike's first soccer cleat debuted in 1971. Aptly named "The Nike", it had a simple design of a black leather upper contrasted with a white Swoosh and outsole with 13 conical studs. For its 50th anniversary, the company is brining it back, with the only major change being weatherproofing — addressing the main complaint of the original. For a bit of added interest, it also carries a graphic referencing the 1970 World Cup in Mexico on the tongue, insole, and outsole, just like the original. It's expected to drop in stores and on Nike's website on December 6.
