The first all-electric car from the electric performance brand, the Polestar 2 isn't just a competitor for Tesla's Model 3, but a statement of Polestar's future ambitions. It fits a 78 kWh battery under the floor of a crossover platform, providing a stable base with low CG for added safety and comfort. Two motors — one in the front, one in the rear — provide 408 hp, 300 kW, and a 0-62 time under five seconds, and the regenerative braking system helps extend the range out to 275 miles. The aerodynamic fastback profile makes room for five doors, all of which open to an interior that mixes avant-garde design with old-world comfort. That includes vegan materials, the world's first Android-powered infotainment system with Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store, and phone-as-key technology that enables everything from easy car sharing to having the cabin prepared before you even open the door.
