Porsche 963 RSP
In 1975, Count Rossi — of Martini & Rossi lineage — drove a custom Porsche 917 from the factory in Zuffenhausen to his home in Paris. Inspired by the road-worthy race car, Porsche AG, Porsche Penske Motorsport, Porsche Cars North America, and motorsport legend Roger Penske have teamed up to make a road-legal version of the 963 Hypercar. Dubbed the 963 RSP — the letters representing Penske's initials — it has several modifications to make it suitable for public pavement. Those include a raised ride height, softened dampers, lights that operate like a road car, covered wheel wells, a horn, mounting points for front and rear license plates, a remapped 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid powertrain that can run on pump gas, and Michelin wet weather compound tires, sporting 1970s-era logos. True to Rossi's 917, the car was painted Martini Silver instead of wrapped, and is outfitted with a bespoke tan leather and Alcantara interior. The car will be on display at the Circuit de la Sarthe during the 24 Hours of Le Mans before it returns to the Porsche Museum, before heading to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
