Prince: The Black Album Sealed Vinyl
Also known as The Funk Bible, Prince's The Black Album was slated to come out at the height of his popularity. Just one week before its release date of December 8, 1987, the late artist decided the content was "evil", and the release was scrapped — leading Warner Bros. to try and destroy all of the 500,000 copies that had been pressed. Making this example, one of the very few to survive, an extremely rare piece of music history. It arrives factory-sealed in its original shrinkwrap, complete with a Parental Advisory sticker that pre-dates the now iconic warning label. Found in the collection of former Warner Bros. Records executive Richard Wietsma, it's in mint condition and one of only a handful known to exist; it's set to sell on February 14 via RR Auction.
